CHESTER, Pa. – Orlando City SC (3-2-2, 11 points) and the Philadelphia Union (4-2-1, 13 points) played to a scoreless draw at Subaru Park on Saturday night. With the draw, the Lions are now unbeaten in their last four MLS regular season matches, three of which have come on the road.
Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese made four saves on the night, including two vital back-to-back saves in the first half that kept the Lions within striking distance all night. He also faced 20 shots by the Union, which is the most he has faced all season long as he earned his first clean sheet of the campaign.
Gallese was assisted by his defense all night long who blocked eight Philadelphia shots on the night and defended against eight corner kicks. The shutout serves as the Lions’ first regular season road shutout since July of last year.
