Four Jacksonville players finished with double-digit point totals to help lead the Waves to a 73-57 win over the Savannah Steel Friday evening at Vystar Veterans Memorial. With the win, the Waves (20-5) officially clinched their spot in the Inaugural UPSHOT Championship Game to be played on August 29th at Vystar Arena. Opponent will be determined at a later date. A tidal wave struck downtown Jax in the first quarter as the Waves opened the game with a 20-2 lead out of the gates. Jacksonville took control of the game early, seizing opportunities and scoring points on 16 Savannah turnovers throughout the game. The Waves were dominant in the paint, scoring 32 points inside and down low to Savannah’s 24 points in the box. Lindsey Pulliam led the way with 15 points on the night, while Adut Bulgak (14 pts), Shyanne Sellers (12 points) and Jamine Walker (10 pts) also contributed on the night.
