JACKSONVILLE (www.thefloridasportswire.com) -The Jacksonville Sharks have added another imposing target to their 2027 offense with the signing of wide receiver Jeremiah Pruitte.
At 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, Pruitte gives Jacksonville a big-bodied pass catcher with experience playing multiple positions in the passing game. The former Florida A&M standout spent time at both wide receiver and tight end during his college career, bringing a unique skill set to the Sharks’ receiving unit.
A Georgia native, Pruitte emerged as a highly regarded prospect at Wheeler High School. He earned a three-star rating after hauling in 35 passes for 545 yards and eight touchdowns during his senior campaign.
Pruitte initially took his talents to Colorado State before eventually finding a home at Florida A&M. His role with the Rattlers grew throughout his time in Tallahassee, beginning with 12 catches for 103 yards and three touchdowns in 2022.
He continued to make an impact the following season, totaling 202 yards on 13 receptions in 2023. That year also featured the longest catch of his collegiate career, a 69-yard reception that showcased his ability to turn his size into a downfield threat.
Heading into his final collegiate season in 2024, Pruitte earned recognition on the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List. He recorded 10 receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown during the year, including a 60-yard receiving performance with a score against Texas Southern.
Pruitte’s ability to work from different spots on the field could provide Jacksonville with plenty of options offensively. His 6-foot-5 frame gives him a significant catch radius, particularly in contested situations and near the goal line, while his experience at tight end allows him to be used in different formations and personnel packages.
The addition of Pruitte gives the Sharks another physically imposing option as Jacksonville continues assembling its offensive weapons for the 2027 season. With his size, positional flexibility and experience at the Division I level, Pruitte will look to carve out a role in the Sharks’ passing attack when he arrives in Jacksonville.
