Inaugural AAC Contest, FAU’s Herman No Stranger

BOCA RATON (Florida Sports Wire) – Florida Atlantic University football is inching its way towards the program’s inaugural American Athletic Conference contests. However, the Owls are led by Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Tom Herman, a man who has won the AAC and has guided his players towards the goal this team will strive to achieve.

This Saturday, Herman will lead his Owls toward that goal with knowledge and respect for his opponent. Herman coached two seasons at then-AAC member Houston and holds a 13-4 AAC record. He is 2-0 versus Tulsa, leading his Houston team to a 38-24 win (2015) and a 38-31 win(2016).

This is the third meeting between Tulsa and FAU. The Owls hosted and defeated the Golden Hurricanes on September 13, 2014, 50-21. One year later, FAU traveled to Tulsa where they fell in overtime, 47-44
