NFL Draft: Jaguars Set Franchise Record with 10 Players Selected in Final Rounds

JACKSONVILLE (Florida Sports Wire) – The Jacksonville Jaguars selected 13 players in the NFL Draft, including 10 players in rounds 4-7 on Saturday.

It marked the first time in franchise history the Jaguars selected 10 players in rounds 4-7 and Jacksonville became the first team to do so since Minnesota selected 11 players in 2020.

Here’s a summary of Saturday’s Jacksonville picks:

LB VENTRELL MILLER | RD 4/NO. 121 College: Florida

Miller finished his career with 240 total tackles (124 solo), 23.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interception in 49 games played.

DL TYLER LACY | RD 4/NO.130 College: Oklahoma State

Lacy started 44 games and posted 113 total tackles (59 solo) and was a three-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. He participated in the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

LB YASIR ABDULLAH | RD 5/NO. 136 College: Louisville

Adbullah finished his career at Louisville eighth in career sacks (23.5) and second in tackles for loss (43). He recorded 210 total tackles in five seasons. In 2022, he was named All-ACC, and led the conference with 9.5 sacks.

S ANTONIO JOHNSON | RD 5/NO.160 College: Texas A&M

Johnson played in 28 games, making 22 starts during three years at Texas A&M. He recorded 164 total tackles, eight passes defended and 2.0 sacks. Johnson was a member of the 2022 AP All-SEC First Team.

WR PARKER WASHINGTON | RD 6/NO.185 College: Penn State

Washington caught a pass in every game of his college career, totaling 146 receptions, ranking 10th all-time at Penn State. He recorded 1,920 receiving yards and scored 12 touchdowns.

CB CHRISTIAN BRASWELL | RD 6/NO.202 College: Rutgers

Braswell spent three seasons at Temple before transferring for one season to Rutgers. He posted 77 total tackles, 24 passes defensed and six interceptions in four seasons. In his final collegiate season at Rutgers, Braswell had a career-best three interceptions.

CB ERICK HALLETT II | RD 6/NO.208 College: Pittsburgh

Hallett appeared in 49 games with 32 starts, including consecutively starting the last 31 games of his career at Pittsburgh. He recorded 170 tackles, 32 passes defensed, eight interceptions and one touchdown.

OL COOPER HODGES | RD 7/NO.226 College: Appalachian State

Hodges was a Four-time All[1]Sun Belt selection including a two-time First-Team selection. He appeared in 51 games and allowed just 7.0 sacks in 1,668 pass-blocking snaps.

DL RAYMOND VOHASEK | RD 7/NO.227 College: North Carolina

The McKenry Ill. native appeared in 41 games in four seasons as a Tar Heel after transferring from the College of Dupage. He totaled 96 tackles (46 solo), 17 tackles for loss, including 5.5 sacks. He was Honorable Mention All-ACC in 2021.

FB DEREK PARISH | RD 7/NO.240 College: Houston

Parish split time as fullback and defensive lineman at Houston. He was voted a captain by his teammates in 2022. In five seasons at Houston (2018-22), he totaled 146 tackles (73 solo) 32.5 tackles for loss, including 16.0 sacks.
