NAL: Jacksonville Sharks Add QB Blount

JACKSONVILLE  (SportsDay) – The Jacksonville Sharks have added another quarterback ahead of April 8th’s season opener at West Texas.

Conor Blount (6’1, 200) comes to Jacksonville for his rookie season after spending his college career at Oregon State and Eastern Kentucky.

In 2018, Blount started six of the first seven games for Oregon State and went12-19 with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the season opener at No. 5 Ohio State. He finished his Beaver career with 1,300 yards and seven touchdowns with a 60.6% completion rate.

Blount then transferred to Eastern Kentucky where he played nine games, including five starts, for the Colonels in 2019. He finished the season 53-97 with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Prior to Oregon State, Blount earned All-State honors while playing for the Waukesha West High School Wolverines in Wisconsin.

As a senior, he threw for 1,577 yards, 20 touchdowns with only one interception as he led the team to the Division II State Championship Game.
