NFL Recap: Colts Lose Final Home Game of 2025 to Jacksonville Jaguars

In their final home game of the 2025 season on Sunday, the Colts lost their sixth consecutive game as they fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 20-17. The Colts kept it close throughout the game and battled hard on both sides of the ball, but fell just short of getting the win.

The Jaguars (12-4) win over the Colts (8-8), 23-17, extended their win streak to seven games and reaching 12 wins for the third time in franchise history. Jacksonville has won four straight games on the road and improves to 6-2 (.750) away this season, their best road winning percentage since

The beginning of the game was all Colts, as they jumped out to an early 10-0 lead. A 53-yard kickoff return from wide receiver Ashton Dulin gave the Colts all the momentum to start, and kicker Blake Grupe connected on a 33-yard field goal on the Colts’ first drive of the day.

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence answered back on the next possession, however, going on a 12-play, 69-yard drive that ended in Lawrence scrambling in for a touchdown. The Jaguars continued to dominate the Colts defense and marched down the field to take the lead with another rushing touchdown from Lawrence.

Lawrence rushed eight times for 26 yards and two touchdowns. His nine rushing touchdowns this season are tied for the ninth most in the NFL and fourth most in the AFC regardless of position. Lawrence has the second most among quarterbacks, trailing only Bills QB Josh Allen (12).

Lawrence recorded his third multi-rushing TD game of the season and the sixth of his career. His three games are tied for the sixth most in the NFL this season. Lawrence’s 35 total touchdowns (26 passing, nine rushing) so far this season are the third most in the NFL in 2025 and the second most in a season in franchise history.

Travis Etienne Jr. recorded 17 rushes 76 yards and had two receptions for 16 yards. It marks his 15th game this season with 50-plus scrimmage yards; only RB Jonathan Taylor (16) has more such games in 2025.

The Jaguars’ Parker Washington had eight receptions for 115 yards.

Jaguars’ kicker Cam Little connected on a 53-yard field goal to give the Jaguars a 23-17 lead with 18 seconds left. Little successfully converted three field goals and two extra points in today’s game. He is tied for the fourth most field goals made in a single season in franchise history (30). His 129 points scored this season are third most in a single season in franchise history.

With interceptions by CB Jarrian Jones and S Antonio Johnson, the Jaguars have recorded 21 interceptions on the season, tied for the most in the league in 2025 and tied for the most in a single season in franchise history.
