IFL: Jacksonville Sharks Drop Game in Wisconsin: Back Home Saturday

GREEN BAY, WI – Jacksonville could not hold on to the Green Bay Blizzard in the 75-43 loss. The Blizzard hosted us on Military appreciation night, sporting their American flag jerseys. The game started out smooth for both offenses throughout the first quarter. Both teams kept the game close by one touchdown. Tyler Huff capitalized on rushing yards for three touchdowns in the first half.

Green Bay took over in the second quarter, setting the tone for the second half. Green Bay got three touchdowns and a deuce in the second quarter. There were efforts from Ka’ron Ashley, Jaedon Stoshak, and Larry McCammon to gain yardage. The Sharks were limited to one rushing touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter. The half ended 33-24 in favor of the Blizzard.

The Sharks open the third quarter with a quick score on two drives by Marcus Rogers and McCammon. Green Bay had an answer instantly for the SharksSharks had trouble dealing with Green Bay’s defense, leading to a 22-point deficit in the third. Jacksonville was able to get on the board twice in the fourth but it was not enough turn it around.

Huff and McCammon had five rushing touchdowns and totaling over 100 yards combined. Rodgers had a touchdown and combined over 120 receiving yards with Ashley. The Sharks host the Quad City Steamwheelers June 21 at 7:05pm est.
