Jaguars: Kansas City Holds Jacksonville Offense to Three FGs in 17-9 Win

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) were held to three field goals from Brandon McManus as the visiting Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) won 17-9 Sunday at EverBank Field.

Skyy Moore and Travis Kelce each scored on passes from Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes was 29 of 41 for 305 yards passing and an early interception by Andre Cisco.

Harrison Butker capped the scoring on a 38-yard field goal.

The Jaguars’ Christian Kirk caught 11 passes for 110 yards to lead all receivers. Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence was 22 of 41 yards passing for 216 yards.

Jacksonville linebacker Foye Oluokun posted 10 total tackles (six solo).

The Jaguars’ Tim Jones recorded the first fumble recovery of his career after Logan Cooke’s 50-yard punt. Teammate Darious Williams posted the first forced fumble of his career, leading to Foyesade Oluokun’s fourth-career fumble recovery.
