ECHL: Florida Moves Closer to Playoff Berth with 4-2 Win Over Jacksonville

ESTERO (Florida Sports Wire) – The Florida Everblades scored four unanswered goals to defeat the Jacksonville Icemen 4-2 in Estero Wednesday night before 5,886.

Sean Josling (19), Will Calverley (1), Nathan Staios (4) and Cam Darcy (11) tallied for Florida. Calvery’s first goal of the season came on a power play.

Matheson Iacopelli scored his 18th goal of the season to give the visitors the early lead.

But the Everblades scored four in a row before Cristiano DiGiacinto (4) scored late in the final period. Iacopelli picked up the assist along with Julian Kislin.

Cam Johnson made 32 saves for Florida. Charles Williams stopped 30 shots for the Icemen.

Jacksonville is 3-6-1-0 in their last 10 games. The Icemen return home Friday to open a two-game series against Atlanta.
