ECHL: Jacksonville Icemen Sit Alone in Second Place After 5-4 Win

JACKSONVILLE – Craig Martin put the puck on the stick of Derek Lodermeier (12) who angled it for the game-winner in overtime against the Orlando Solar Bears Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Arena.

With the 5-4 the victory Jacksonville claimed sole possession of second place in the ECHL Southern Division and will face the first place Everblades at home Friday.

Christopher Brown (14), Ara Nazarian (13) and Brendan Harris (11) gave the Icemen a 3-1 lead heading into the final period. Luke Lynch added his tenth goal of the season to open the third frame.

Ross Olsson scored twice for the Solar Bears. Orlando tallied two goals in the final five minutes to force overtime.

Parker Gahagen made 34 saves for Jacksonville. Garrett Parks stopped 25 shots for the visitors.
