JACKSONVILLE (SportsTicker) – Zach Jordan scored twice and Olof Lindbom made 16 saves as the Jacksonville Icemen (20-11-1) defeated the Florida Everblades (19-8-3-1) 7-3 Wednesday night before 5,625 at Veterans Memorial Arena.
Florida’s Joe Pendenza made it 6-3 in the third on a shorthanded goal. The Icemen responded a power play score by Tim Theocharidis.
The game was tied 2-2 after the first period. The Icemen pulled away in the second on Jordan’s two tallies and a shorthanded goal by Jacob Panetta.
Cam Johnson stopped 24 shots for the Everblades. Brad Morrison and Xavier Cormier lit the lamp for the visitors.
The Jaguars host first place Atlanta Friday night at 7 p.m.
ICEMEN NOTES: The seven goals were a season high for Jacksonville. The Icemen outshot Florida 31 to 19. Easton Brodzinski and Ryan Lohin each scored their second goals of the season. Luke Lynch tied the game with 3:52 played in the first with his eighth goal of the season. Jacksonville was 2 of 4 with a man advantage. Zach Jordan had an assist.
