Reigning SLS Champ Rosa Holds Off Three Olympic Medalists in Super Crown Final

JACKSONVILLE – Pamela Rosa (São José dos Campos, Brazil) out battled the world’s top skateboarders here today at the Street League Skateboarding 2021 Super Crown World Championship presented by Cariuma to top the podium ahead of Olympic medalists Rayssa Leal (Imperatriz, Brazil) and Momiji Nishiya (Osaka, Japan).

Rosa was fifth in the tour standings heading into the Super Crown Championship, and had to battle through yesterday’s last-chance qualifier to earn a spot in the final against a stacked field that included all three medalists from the 2020 Olympic Games – Nishiya (gold), Leal (silver) and Funa Nakayama (Toyama City, Japan; bronze).

The competition came down to the final tricks, with Rosa earning the highest score of the weekend (8.1) on her final trick – a gap out Smith grind – to seal the victory.
