NHL: Lightning Reduce Training Camp Roster by 22; Host Panthers in Orlando

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reduced their training camp roster by 22 players, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

The Lightning cuts include 13 forwards: Maxim Cajkovic, Jaydon Dureau, Shawn Element, Remi Elie, Gabriel Fortier, Gage Goncalves, Cole Koepke, Jimmy Huntington, Alexei Lipanov, Antoine Morand, Otto Somppi, Odeen Tufto and Daniel Walcott. The Bolts also cut six defensemen: Brandon Crawley, Alex Green, Ryan Jones, Wyatt McLeod, Dmitri Semykin and Jack Thomspon. Three goaltenders were cut: Hugo Alnefelt, Maxime Lagace and Eamon McAdam.

Tampa Bay dropped a 6-1 preseason decision to the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena Saturday night.

The Lightning concluded a stretch of three games in three days and four games in five days on Saturday. The Bolts will have two days off before the first of three-consecutive games against the Florida Panthers to conclude the preseason, starting Tuesday at Orlando’s Amway Center

The Bolts are returning to Orlando play a preseason game for the first time since the 2018 preseason when they defeated the Panthers 6-2 in front of 10,781 spectators at Amway Center.
