ARENA: Sharks Add Three to Roster as QB Choloute Joins Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced that QB Garry Chouloute (6’4, 200), Offensive Lineman Jaleel Brown (6’2, 320), and Wide Receiver Kamrin Soloman (6’1, 205) have been added to the Sharks roster.

In addition, QB Jonathan Bane along with receivers Chris Gilchrist and Mark Munson have been placed on short-term injured reserve.

The Sharks head to Greensboro, NC to face the #2 Carolina Cobras (6-2) on Saturday, June 15. The league leader going into week 11 would determined by the winner of this matchup.

Chouloute is in his rookie year of arena football after originally signing with Orlando Predators this season for training camp.

Chouloute made the final roster but was recently released by Orlando. In five games as a backup quarterback for the Predators, Chouloute went 13 of 28 for 105 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Chouloute attended Webber International University where he finished third in school history for career passing yards and second in passing touchdowns. Chouloute is a Miami, Fla, native where he played football and basketball for Felix Varela High School.

Brown attended Adrian College where he anchored the offensive line and helped the Bulldogs average 420 total yards and 31.2 points per game on offense.

Brown grew up outside of Gainesville, FL in Starke. Brown went to Buchholz High School where he played both offensive and defensive line.

Solomon attended Florida Atlantic University where he majored in sociology. In his first college game he recorded a 16 yard catch against Alabama, and he also saw some action in the final game of the season against Old Dominion University.

During his senior year, he recorded a bowl game record long 63-yard catch and added one rush in the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl.

As a Jacksonville native, Solomon attended Mandarin High School where he recorded 68 career catches for 1,159 yards. Throughout high school he earned eight varsity letters and was awarded the Principal Award for Excellence.
